THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	Apprentice J Botes (SPIRIT OF LEVANA) and Jockey T Godden (ONE SMART COOKIE) reported that their respective mounts took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 
b)	Jockey M V'Rensburg was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (Appendix E; Guideline M), in that he as the rider of TOBACCONIST misused his crop by striking this gelding more than twelve times (14) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey M V'Rensburg signed an admission of guilt and a penalty of a fine of R4000 was imposed. 
c)	TOMYRIS (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) was advised (RvR).

a)	Jockey M V'Rensburg was the rider of TOBACCONIST (advised 03.07.2025/09h07).
