THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE.

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	MERRYWEATHER (G Lerena) and PEPPER TREE (*K J Lihaba) were stubborn loading.
b)	FUTURE SUCCESS (R Danielson) was slow losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	In the concluding stages, Apprentice G Samo-Burthia, the rider of NOTHING COMPARES, briefly dropped his right-side rein.
b)	Jockey S Khumalo (STAMPEDE AHEAD) did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. Thereafter, Jockey S Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with STAMPEDE AHEAD  in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. 	
c)	MERRYWEATHER (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
