Stipes Report

During the loading process PRIORY TERRACE (A Mgudlwa) became restless and kicked the back gates. This filly was released from the starting stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and subsequently withdrawn.

THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	PRIORY TERRACE (A Mgudlwa) kicked the back gates. Released from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was subsequently withdrawn. 
b)	BERRINGTON BLEW (*B Marx-Jacobson) lost 1 length. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	After being slow away SIMBINE (C Habib) was squeezed out shortly after the start. 
b)	BERRINGTON BLEW (*B Marx-Jacobson) over-raced in the early and middle stages and as a consequence this filly proved difficult negotiating the turn. 
c)	HOLY STAR (G Lerena) hung in from the 400m.
d)	TRISTAN DA CUNHA (T Godden) hung in from the 400m, commenced to give ground to the field from the 200m and was not persevered with in the concluding stages. Thereafter Jockey T Godden reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e)	Jockey M Yeni (BILINGUAL) reported that his saddle slipped backwards in the running. This was confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon. 
f)	Apprentice D D Louw (FALCON WINGS) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. 
g)	CLICKBAIT (C Murray), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M J Odendaal was advised (SP).
JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES :
a)	FALCON WINGS raced equipped with blinkers (advised 09.07.2025/15h53).
b)	SIMBINE raced without a tongue tie (advised 11.07.2025/07h38).
c)	TRISTAN DA CUNHA raced fitted with steel shoes (advised 10.07.2025/09h51).

a)	Jockey S Khumalo was stood down after the running of this race with a suspected right bicep tendon tear. Dr S Mohan. Rule 25.12 was applied.
