The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STRATHCLYDE (*B Plaatjies) was stubborn to load. b) HOPE IS POWER (N Patel) and MISTER NIBBLES (*J Botes) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MEXICAN PETE (M Yeni) over-raced in the early stages. b) KING OF SPIN (T Godden) hung in from the 500m. c) Apprentice B Plaatjies reported that he felt something amiss in the running with STRATHCLYDE.
