THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	WALTZING DOLL (S Naidoo) was stubborn loading.
b)	OLIVE OYL (K Minnie) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing one length.
c)	CASINO KING (G Lerena) jumped slow, losing one length.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	The Jockeys had mounted and were about to proceed to the start when the Stipendiary Stewards were advised by the Racing Operator that the ambulance had not arrived on course. The Stewards instructed the Jockeys to dismount and the Trainers were advised to take their horses back to the saddling area. In the interests of the comfort of the horses, Trainers were advised that they could remove the saddles and tongue ties until such time as the ambulance arrived on course.
b)	An Inquiry will be held to establish the reason OLIVE OYL stumbled, fell and dislodged Jockey K Minnie at the 400m.
c)	In view of the performance of ZAMBEZI SUNSET (R Fourie) (Betting 8/1; Distance 10.25 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
	Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
d)	LARIUS LACUS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer NJ Paddock, acting on behalf of Trainer WGC Miller, was advised. (LM)
