THE STARTER REPORTED: a) COUNTRY FLAME (*G Pieterse) and ZANOBIAN PRINCESS (*J Solomons) were stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, ZANOBIAN PRINCESS (*J Solomons) was buffeted between RAY INDIGO (*P Mxoli), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls, and EDITTA (*C F Dicken), who in turn was brushed inwards by SARAYU (*K A Brewer), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) Approaching the 300m, ZANOBIAN PRINCESS (*J Solomons) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the inside of COLOUR CODED (*K Strydom), which shifted in away from the crop and was immediately straightened. c) NIGHT LILY (*J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
