THE STARTER REPORTED:

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	WAR CHARIOT (R Fourie) cast its right front shoe in the parade ring, which had to be replaced, causing a delay.
b)	Shortly after the start WESTERN WORLD (G Wright) lost position when buffeted between KELP FORE and MENTE ET MANU (M Yeni).
c)	BOUNDLESS LOVE (JP van der Merwe) pulled hard in the early stages.
d)	DEVIL A SAINT (G van Niekerk) raced wide without cover on the turn and into the straight.
e)	An Inquiry will be held to establish why HEAL AND SOUL (C Murray) had to be steadied and directed inwards and KABONLAESEDI (*V Jodhee) was momentarily inconvenienced at the 400m.
f)	Apprentice V Jodhee (KEBONALESEDI) rode a satisfying qualifying ride. 
g)	The Stewards have adjourned to consider the overweight of Jockey A Domeyer (WHAT A FORTUNE) when he weighed back in after this race.
h)	Jockey C Murray was charged with a contravention of Rule 70.1.2 in that he failed to report to the Stipendiary Board any incident which may have affected the running of HEAL AND SOUL.  Jockey C Murray signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1 000.00.
