THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ACT OF GRACE (C Little) was stubborn to load. b) SUMMER LIGHTNING (C F Dicken) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) BLACK PLATINA (D Daniels) hung in from the 300m. b) Approaching the 200m TRICK OR TEQUILA (T Godden) was carried in by GREEN MILE (S Moodley) which hung in from the 350m and rolled in. c) Approaching the 150m PROMISE OF FIRE (K Matsunyane) changed stride awkwardly and became unbalanced on the outside of FINE DINING (N Patel) which was carried out by ACT OF GRACE (C Little) which rolled out. d) Shortly before the finish TRICK OR TEQUILA (T Godden) was brushed by GREEN MILE (S Moodley) which rolled in marginally. e) In view of the performance of GIJIMA MFANA (S Sosibo) (10.25 lengths, 100/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Trainer D Howells reported that PROMISE OF FIRE (K Matsunyane) was coughing post-race. g) GRIPEN (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L V Woodruff was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) BLACK PLATINA raced fitted with alumites in front, unshod behind (advised 14.07.2025/10h09). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
