Stipes Report
En route to the start RICCARDO (C Habi) cast the right front shoe which was replaced by the course farrier at the start. This gelding was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race. This caused a delay to the start of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 50m MAGMA MAGIC (T Godden) was steadied when racing into restricted galloping room between AFROPOLITAN (*J Botes) and BLAZING LIGHT (A Mgudla). b) Jockey C Little reported that MY BOY LOLLIPOP did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey C Murray was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (Appendix E; Guideline 3), in that he mis-used his crop by striking CORRUPT forward of the saddle in the latter stages. Jockey Murray signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1000. d) CORRUPT (C Murray), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Mathew De Kock was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey S Moodley was the rider of DEPUTY CHIEF (advised 16.07.2025/09h21). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) MY BOY LOLLIPOP : Nothing obvious detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS : DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
