Stipes Report
Upon arrival at the start GRIFFIN PARK (*B Marx-Jacobson) was subject to a Veterinary examination and was subsequently withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. Thereafter during the loading process VICTOR RAIL (S Hlengwa) rushed the front gates, was released from the starting stalls. This gelding was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. Simultaneously, the bridle on CAPPELLINO (C Habib) became partially detached and had to be refitted. These incidents caused a significant delay to the start of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VICTOR RAIL (S Hlengwa) and CAPPELLINO (C Habib) were restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) In view of the performances of VICTOR RAIL (S Hlengwa) (9.85 lengths, 7/1 in the betting) and MASK ON (C Little) (4.25 lengths, 25/2 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) CAPPELLINO (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Whitehead was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) CATAVAR raced fitted with an alumite bar shoe on the left front (advised 11.07.2025/15h17). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) VICTOR RAIL : Nothing obvious detected. b) MASK ON : Nothing obvious detected. SCRATCHINGS : a) GRIFFIN PARK : Blood in nostril (withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon at 14h42, 6/1 in the betting). Rule 53.5 applies. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
