THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	BOSNAY (*J Botes) fly-jumped leaving the stalls and was slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	EPIKLEROS (C Maujean) was cramped for galloping room and had to steady when awkwardly placed between SUCHALIFE (*I Taka), which shifted outwards and TREASURE HUNT (K Steyn), which was carried in by ONO NO KOMACHI (X Ndlovu), which was steadied and directed inwards slightly to avoid running onto the heels of LA VIDA LOCA (*B Plaatjies), which shifted slightly inwards shortly after the start. 
	Apprentice I Taka (SUCHALIFE) appeared before the Board and was advised to keep his mount straight and parallel to his draw position until such time that he is able to take up a position on the turn.
Jockey X Ndlovu (ONO NO KOMACHI) appeared before the Board and was advised that he had no need to direct his mount inwards when not necessary as LA VIDA LOCA (*B Plaatjies) had been clear of him. 
Apprentice B Plaatjies (LA VIDA LOCA) appeared before the Board and was advised to be more aware of other runners when shifting ground in similar circumstances. 
	In assessing this incident and questioning the respective Riders individually, the Board was satisfied that no blame could be attached to any individual Rider and took no further action.
b)	LA VIDA LOCA (*B Plaatjies) was hanging out and shifted out away from the crop at the 250m.
c)	BOSNAY (*J Botes) and LIZWILE ILALI (J Gates) came together and brushed at the 150m.
d)	EPIKLEROS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee GD Venter, acting on behalf of Trainer TJ Laing, was advised. (LM)
