THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	DON'T CRY FOR ME (P Strydom) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	BEYNAC (C Murray) jumped outwards leaving the stalls.
c)	SKITTLES SKIES (S Moodley) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Shortly after the start, SKITTLES SKIES (S Moodley) was buffeted between DON'T CRY FOR ME (P Strydom), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls, and BEYNAC (C Murray), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls.	 
b)	In the early stages, BEYNAC (C Murray) commenced to over-race, proving difficult to assist. This resulted in MOUNT DARWIN (K Matsunyane) being carried outwards by BEYNAC (C Murray). Thereafter, BEYNAC (C Murray) compounded in the straight. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 
c)	The saddle on HAWKBILL (G Lerena) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by the patrol film. 
d)	In view of the performance of STREET ART (C Habib), (distance 8,30 lengths, betting 66/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.	
e)	In view of the performance of ON TARGET (C Maujean), (distance 9,30 lengths, betting 20/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.	
f)	In view of the performance of BEYNAC (C Murray), (distance 19,30 lengths, betting 15/10), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.		
g)	DON'T CRY FOR ME (P Strydom), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
