THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FLYING SOUTH (G Lerena), MISS TWINKLE (S Moodley) and SNEEUWITJIE (*D D Louw) were stubborn to load. b) MISS TWINKLE (S Moodley) was slow, losing 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) SNEEUWITJIE (*D D Louw) over-raced in the early stages and on the early part of the turn. b) At the 700m, as the pace of the race slowed briefly, MISS STORMIATRIX (A Mgudlwa), MISS TWINKLE (S Moodley) and SKIPPER O'MALLEY (C Habib) were inconvenienced. As a result EAST COAST GIRL (T Godden) was carried wide. c) Apprentice D Pillay reported that he felt something amiss with EMMAS PALACE in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of GLORIOUS BUTTERFLY (*M Mbuto) (11.55 lengths, 20/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Apprentice D D Louw (SNEEUWITJIE) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. f) SNEEUWITJIE (*D D Louw), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Prinsloo was advised (DZ). Trainer M N Prinsloo was questioned regarding the improved performance of this filly when compared to her previous performance. He explained that he fitted with SNEEUWITJIE with blinkers and that this led to the improvement shown. Trainer Prinsloo has undertaken to race this filly similarly equipped in future. JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) MISS DANON raced equipped with ear muffs and a compression mask (advised 17.07.2025/07h28). b) LIGHTINTHEDARKNESS raced equipped with blinkers (advised 18.07.2025/09h55).
