THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THESUPERNOVASTAR (C Habib) was stubborn to load. b) ATTABOY (G Lerena) lost 3 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) THESUPERNOVASTAR (C Habib) was not persevered with from the 300m. Thereafter Jockey C Habib reported this filly did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) In view of the performance of THESUPERNOVASTAR (17.00 lengths, 3/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. The Stipendiary Board has exercised the provisions of Rule 49.7, and this filly is suspended pending a Veterinary Certificate prior to its next racing engagement. c) ATTABOY (G Lerena) hung out from the 250m. Thereafter Jockey G Lerena reported that this gelding did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer P V Lafferty will be asked to report back on the condition of ATTABOY on return to stables. d) BEACH PALACE (C Murray), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
