The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race.  The start was further delayed as the tongue tie had to be re-fitted to BURN BRIGHT at the start.

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	Fair break. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
 
a)	In view of the indifferent performance of BURN BRIGHT (P Mxoli), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
b)	Jockey D Daniels (RIVER POWER) was unbalanced when he briefly lost his footing to his right-side stirrup iron in the closing stages.
c)	RIVER POWER (D Daniels), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer D Swanson advised (AH).
