THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GALLIC VICTOR (G Lerena) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start ENGELANDPARK (C F Dicken) was brushed by GOOD OMEN (R A Venniker) which jumped inwards leaving the starting stalls. Thereafter ENGELANDPARK (C F Dicken) commenced to over-race and was steadied off the heels of DIRECTOR (A Mgudlwa) and THIRTEEN FOURTEEN (C Murray) and the inside of GOOD OMEN (R A Venniker). b) In view of the performance of EVERYSECONDCOUNTS (N Patel) which was not persevered with from the 200m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. The Stipendiary Board has exercised the provisions of Rule 49.7, and this filly is suspended pending a Veterinary Certificate prior to its next racing engagement. Trainer M J Odendaal will be advised. c) GALLIC VICTOR (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Kannemeyer was advised (DZ).
