THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	ORDER OF HOPE (C Habib), THE MERCIFUL (K A Brewer) and ANGEL'S WISH (*B Plaatjies) were slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Jockey C Habib (ORDER OF HOPE) did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. Thereafter, Jockey C Habib reported that this gelding did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 	
b)	In view of the performance of CITY LIGHTS (*M Mbuto), (distance 20,30 lengths, betting 40/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.	
c)	LAVA LAMP (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.

JOCKEY CHANGES:
a)	CITY LIGHTS was ridden by Apprentice M Mbuto (declared 23 July 2025 at 09H37), who weighed out at 49,2kg, only claiming 1kg of his 4kg apprentice allowance as declared.	
b)	LAVA LAMP was ridden by Jockey G Lerena (declared 24 July 2025 at 09H10).	
Jockey R Danielson was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the correct carded weight on LAVA LAMP, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with Trainer R Klaasen, thereby necessitating a change of Rider. Jockey R Danielson signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000. 	
c)	SILVER FLARE: Apprentice G Dookhit weighed out at 48,7kg, only claiming 1,5kg of his 4kg apprentice allowance as declared.	
d)	ANGEL'S WISH: Apprentice B Plaatjies weighed out at 49,2kg, 1kg over the carded weight as declared.
