THE STARTER REPORTED A) COLORAMA and ESHRAAQ were nervous in the stalls and slow into stride. B) WILDEST DREAMS was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) Approaching the 1400m, GRACE LIGHTNING (C Habib) ducked out sharply and thereafter refused to gallop. In view of this report, GRACE LIGHTNING is suspended indefinitely in terms of Rule 93.2.5, and until such time as she proves tractable during a gallop with a companion on a race day. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. B) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning LIBRAN LANA (*K Strydom), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer J V A Strydom was advised. C) The winner LAURETTA MIA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer S B Kotzen advised (LM).
