THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	 UP IN FLAMES (K Steyn) got its head into the adjacent stall and had to be corrected. 
b)	LEBOMBO GOLD (R Fourie), CHICKASAW (O Noach) and ISLAND JEWEL (C Zackey) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start, MORFELIHA (G Wright) rolled in and bumped LEBOMBO GOLD (R Fourie).
b)	PITERAQ (L Mxothwa) was hanging out in the latter stages.
c)	In view of the debut performance of ISLAND JEWEL (C Zackey), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
d)	Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that the bit on ZARAFA, which raced green and was hanging out, pulled through this filly's mouth. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e)	SPLASH OF COLOUR, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer VH Marshall was advised. (KG)
