THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MEMPHIS (K Matsunyane) and RIFLE QUEEN (L Nhlapo) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) QUEENSLAND (G Lerena) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, MATTS ROCKET (K A Brewer) was bumped in by RIFLE QUEEN (L Nhlapo), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) Jockey R Danielson reported that SEED SEEKER made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) Jockey G Lerena reported that he felt something amiss with QUEENSLAND in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) RIFLE QUEEN (L Nhlapo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A P Peter advised (MduP).
