THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 1000m, XENOPHON (P Strydom) was brushed out by UNDERDOG (J Gates), which hung out around the turn. b) In view of the performance of CAPTAIN FRANK (C Murray), (distance 12,70 lengths, betting 33/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) In view of the performance of SECRET WARRIOR (*K J Lihaba), (distance 14,50 lengths, betting 100/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) XENOPHON (P Strydom), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
