Stipes Report

En route to the start, SOVEREIGN COMMAND (T Godden) cast its right front shoe which then had to be attended to by the farrier. This caused a delay to the start. 

THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	CANNATONIC (S Hlengwa) was stubborn to load. Lost one length. 
b)	DYNASTY'S LAST (J Gates) lost one length. 
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	At the 1000m, EL CAPITAN (S Veale) shifted in away from PHUTHI (K Matsunyane) which rolled in and was immediately corrected. As a result CANNATONIC (S Hlengwa) was tightened and steadied between the inside running rail and the heels of DYNASTY'S LAST (J Gates) which rolled in away from EL CAPITAN (S Veale). 
b)	EL CAPITAN (S Veale) commenced to over-race for a short distance at the 800m.
c)	SOVEREIGN COMMAND (T Godden) raced wide into the straight. 
d)	LET'S GO TO WAR (*M Mbuto) hung in from the 200m. 
e)	At the 150m, LILAC SHOW (R Venniker) which was hanging in from the 350m, was inconvenienced on the outside of the heels of CARNARVON (M Yeni) which rolled out marginally away from the heels of LITTLE CRACKER (J Jacobs). 
f)	Jockey K Matsunyane reported that PHUTHI took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 
g)	Jockey K Matsunyane was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that as the rider of PHUTHI, he failed to weigh out at the declared weight. Jockey K Matsunyane signed an admission of guilt and a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. 
h)	EMOYENI (M V'Rensburg), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee T Ryan acting for Trainer M J Odendaal was advised (DZ).
JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES :
a)	CARNARVON was ridden by Jockey M Yeni (advised 01.08.25/7h25). 
b)	Jockey K Matsunyane (PHUTHI) weighed out at 53.1kg, 1kg over the carded weight.
c)	Jockey S Hlengwa (CANNATONIC) weighed out at 54kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight. 
d)	Jockey R Venniker (LILAC SNOW) weighed out at 52.8kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight.
