Stipes Report
Apprentice D Louw was dislodged from SHE'S A TRACKSTAR en-route to the start. Apprentice D Louw was attended to by the Course Paramedics and as a precaution was declared unfit to ride in this Race. A replacement rider was sought, weighed out, dispatched to the start and united with SHE'S A TRACKSTAR. This caused a significant delay to the Race. Upon arrival to the start, CAPTAINSHIP (C Habib) was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was subsequently withdrawn. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MAGIC GREENLIGHT (M Yeni) lost one length. b) THAT'S ALL BROTHER (M V'Rensburg) fly-jumped leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) SHE'S A TRACKSTAR (*G Dookhit) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. b) Leaving the 300m, DUNGEON MASTER (*M Mbuto) was carried in marginally by MASTER DU ROUVRAY (S Moodley) which commenced to hang in and shifted in. c) In the concluding stages, MASTER DU ROUVRAY (S Moodley) and WONDERFUL TONIGHT (C Little) were carried in by GLOBAL WARRIOR (T Godden) which shifted in and was corrected. d) MOHAVE PRINCE (C Murray), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G B Pullar was advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey C Little (WONDERFUL TONIGHT) weighed out at 57.9kg, b) SHE'S A TRACKSTAR was ridden by Apprentice G Dookhit (claiming 4kg). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) MASTER DU ROUVRAY : Speedy cut left hind. b) MOHAVE PRINCE : Coughing.
