THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	NAZARE (*K J Lihaba) stumbled leaving the stalls.
b)	ARILENA (*A R Al-Mansouri) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Shortly after the start, WHAT A TIGER (*D Louw) was bumped in by ARILENA (*A R Al-Mansouri), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	Shortly after the start, IN THE ETHER (*G Dookhit) and BLINDFIRE (*S Valjalo) were bumped out by SEA WOLF (*G Samo-Burthia), which shifted out sharply and was corrected. 
c)	In the concluding stages, BLINDFIRE (*S Valjalo) was carried in marginally by IN THE ETHER (*G Dookhit), which rolled in. 
d) 	Shortly before the finish line, Apprentice D Louw (WHAT A TIGER) hesitated momentarily with his riding. He appeared before the Board, accompanied by the National Riding Master, and was questioned regarding this incident. He explained to the Board that this was his first ride at the Vaal Racecourse and that he had misjudged the winning post. The Board was satisfied that he had not prejudiced his position; however, advised Apprentice D Louw to familiarise himself with the distance markers of the various racecourses where he will be participating.  
e)	Apprentice T Mayhew reported that WILLIAM WEST did not stride out freely in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 	
f)	Apprentice W Fourie, the rider of TOGETHER AGAIN, rode a satisfactory qualifying ride.
g)	SEA WOLF (*G Samo-Burthia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.	
Assistant Trainer M Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer A P Peter, was advised (AH). 	
Trainer A P Peter to be questioned regarding the improved performance of SEA WOLF.
	
JOCKEY CHANGES:
a)	ARILENA was ridden by Apprentice A R Al-Mansouri (declared 4 August 2025 at 08H59).		
b)	SEA WOLF was ridden by Apprentice G Samo-Burthia (declared 7 August 2025 at 08H14).	  
c)	WILLIAM WEST: Apprentice T Mayhew weighed out at 54,2kg, only claiming 1kg of his 1,5kg apprentice allowance as declared. 
d)	KYLIE'S ANGEL: Apprentice M Mbuto weighed out at 49,2kg, only claiming 3,5kg of his 4kg apprentice allowance as declared. 
e)	TOGETHER AGAIN: Apprentice W Fourie weighed out at 51kg, only claiming 1kg of her 4kg apprentice allowance as declared.
