THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CHIEF RUNNER (MK Katjedi) was nervous in the stalls and slow into stride. b) INDEBE MAYIBUYE (C Habib) jumped awkwardly and made contact with SWISS WALT (L Mxothwa), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) LARIUS LUCAS (*N Nastili) jumped slow, losing two lengths. d) BETHEL (M van Rensburg) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h39) b) LARIUS LACUS (*N Nastili) was eased off the heels of SILVONIAN (C Maujean), which shifted inwards slightly at approximately the 700m. Jockey C Maujean appeared before the Board and was advised to be cautious and more aware or other runners when riding around the turn in similar circumstances. c) LARIUS LACUS (*N Nastili) was hanging in and was allowed to shift inwards from the 300m. d) KINGS AGAIN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
