THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	Fair start. 	 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h57)
b)	TOKYO MEDAGLIA (*N Nastili) was baulked for galloping room and had to be switched out between the 400m and the 300m.		
c)	WORDSWORTH (M van Rensburg) had to steady when awkwardly placed on the heels of GUARDING THE WALL (L Mxothwa) when carried outwards by ISN'T SHE BONNIE (S Naidoo), which was in turn carried out by LT ALEXANDER (K Steyn), which shifted out at approximately the 350m.
	When interviewed, Jockey K Steyn (LT ALEXANDER) explained to the Board that this horse had limited sight in its left eye and, as a consequence, had a tendency of running outwards. The Board, after considering the patrol film and taking into account Jockey K Steyn's explanation, deemed this to be a racing incident and took no further action.
The Veterinary Surgeon was advised to follow up on LT ALEXANDER's alleged eye condition. Pending the veterinary observations, the provisions of Rule 49.7 may be imposed.
d)	WAR LAUNCH (MK Katjedi) was hanging out from the 200m.
e)	NOTORIX (C Little) was hanging in from the 200m.
f) 	Jockey M van Rensburg reported that WORDSWORTH did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
g)	GREEN ISLE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM)
