THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BALERION (C Little) was stubborn loading. Trainer A P Peter was advised to reschool this colt prior to his next engagement (GT). b) SING ME A TUNE (*M Mbuto) was stubborn loading. c) FOLLOW THE MASTER (J Gates) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. d) HEROIC ACT (C Zackey) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey C Habib reported that PRAETORIAN did not stride out freely and made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) Jockey M Mbuto reported that he felt something amiss with SING ME A TUNE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning SING ME A TUNE, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 120 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer D Nieuwenhuizen was advised. d) SANTIAGO'S PRIDE (*K J Lihaba), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Warrick Marwing advised (MduP).
