Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process FLAG CHAMP (N Patel) reared once in the stalls. This colt was removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. b) NORSE WARRIOR (*J Botes) and SUMMER LIGHTNING (J Gates) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) NORSE WARRIOR (*J Botes) hung out from the 500m. b) GOOD OMEN (R A Venniker) hung out in the concluding stages. c) CLINTOSTAR (C Murray) shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. d) Jockey C Murray was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (appendix E; Guideline M), in that he as the rider of CLINTOSTAR misused his crop by striking this colt more than twelve times (14) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey Murray signed an admission of guilt and was fined R4 000. e) CLINTOSTAR (C Murray), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G B Puller was advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) FLAG CHAMP raced without blinkers (advised 08.08.2025/21h20). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) No report. SCRATCHINGS : a) BOURNE SUPREMACY : Elevated temperature (Trainer - 10.08.2025/06h52). Rule 53.5 applies. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
