THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TREATY OF PARIS (T Godden) was stubborn to load. b) PRINCE FLORIAN (C Zackey) lost 1 length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) As the start was effected TREATY OF PARIS (T Godden) was bumped out by NOW I GOT YOU (*D D Louw) which jumped outwards leaving the starting stalls. b) As the start was effected KWAGGA BLITZ (C Habib) was bumped in by AXIS POWER (S Moodley) which jumped inwards leaving the starting stalls. c) Leaving the 400m NOW I GOT YOU (*D D Louw) was switched to the outside of the field to continue its run. d) Jockeys C Zackey (PRINCE FLORIAN) and A Mgudlwa (LUNELUCK) reported that they felt something amiss in the running with their respective mounts. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the performance of APEX PREDATOR (S Hlengwa) (5.45 lengths, 15/2 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning LUNELUCK, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority.
