Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	The saddle on SUPER VIKING (G Wright) slipped backwards when this colt reared in the stalls. SUPER VIKING (G Wright) was taken out, the saddle was adjusted and this colt was reloaded, causing a delay. Thereafter, this colt jumped awkwardly inwards.
b)	PRINS JASPAR (C Orffer) jumped slow, losing two lengths.
c)	SOMMERSTERN (C Little) was slow into stride.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	DISRUPTIVE recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer PAW Botha was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level.
b)	Shortly after the start the saddle on SUPER VIKING (G Wright), which had jumped awkwardly inwards, slipped sideways. As a result, Jockey G Wright shifted all his weight onto his right foot for a number of strides to correct the saddle, placing him at a disadvantage in the early stages.
c) 	DAY IN DAY OUT (L Mxothwa) took an awkward stride leaving the 600m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	DISRUPTIVE (K Steyn) was hanging in from the 500m.
e)	In view of the performance of PRINS JASPAR (C Orffer) (Betting 2/1; Distance 17.40 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
f)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding SUPER VIKING (G Wright), this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 14/08/2025 to 20/08/2025 inclusive) SUPER VIKING may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
g)	POMP IT UP, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (KG)
