Stipes Report
a) ENDEARED (*J Botes) was restless in the stalls and jumped slow, losing one length. b) OCEAN FLAME (*S Bungane) was restless in the stalls. c) NANNIE GOLD (G Wright) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ENDEARED recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer ELP Steyn was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level. b) QUEEN REGENT (JP van der Merwe) was hanging out and raced with an awkward head carriage in the early stages. c) Approaching the 50m STAR WORLD (S Veale), which was hanging out from the 500m, had to steady when awkwardly placed between the inside running rail and ELUSIVE GIFT (C Orffer). d) At the 250m ENDEARED (*J Botes), which raced green, shifted in sharply for no apparent reason and had to be straightened. e) In view of the report from the Starter regarding ENDEARED (*J Botes) and OCEAN FLAME (*S Bungane), Trainers ELP Steyn and L Woodruff will be advised to have these fillies re-schooled prior to their next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. f) LA LANDONNE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
