THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HONG KONG (C Little) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) HONG KONG (C Little) over-raced in the early and middle stages. As a consequence of this, this filly raced wide around the turn, into the straight, and tired badly from the 300m. Thereafter, Jockey C Little reported that HONG KONG did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer A P Peter was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of HONG KONG on return to stables. b) Jockey J Gates reported that he felt something amiss with KING OF NUMBERS in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) OMBUDSMAN (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee S Mtwesi, acting on behalf of Trainer S G Tarry, was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) KING OF NUMBERS raced with a tongue tie on (declared 12 August 2025 at 09H22). b) OMBUDSMAN raced equipped with a compression mask (declared 12 August 2025 at 12H34).
