Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ROCK OF FUTURA (M K Katjedi) was stubborn loading.
b)	GREENLIGHT LEGEND (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls and slow into stride.
c)	CHEERFUL CHARLIE B (W Agrella) jumped awkwardly, made contact with right side front gate of the starting stalls and thereafter was slow into stride. 		 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	ONE GIANT LEAP recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. (13h39) This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level.
b)	SUN SPECTACULAR (M Yeni), COULDITBE (Y Ramzan), CHEERFUL CHARLIE B (W Agrella) and ROCK OF FUTURA (M K Katjedi) over raced in the early and middle stages.
c)	CHEERFUL CHARLIE B (W Agrella) was steadied and directed outwards to avoid running onto the heels of GREENLIGHT LEGEND (R Fourie) at the 900m.
d)	Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with GREENLIGHT LEGEND and he eased this mare out of the race at the 600m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 
e)	RED WILLIAM (L Mxothwa) was hanging out from the 300m.
f)	ROCK OF FUTURA (M K Katjedi) was caried out slightly by KOHANA (C Little), which shifted out slightly at approximately the 250m.
g)	RED WILLIAM, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SB Kotzen was advised. (LM)
