Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KING HARALD (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) ESTEEMED (R Fourie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, ESTEEMED (R Fourie) was brushed in by TINA LOVELACE (R Munger), which was bumped in by KING HARALD (G Lerena), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. As a consequence, ESTEEMED (R Fourie) lost ground to the field. b) Approaching the 300m, KING HARALD (G Lerena) made its run between TINA LOVELACE (R Munger) and CHARMING CHEETAH (A Fortune) and was subsequently checked and lost position when awkwardly placed on the inside of the heels of TINA LOVELACE (R Munger), which commenced to hang in from the 400m. As a result of this, KING HARALD (G Lerena) was switched in to continue its run. The Stewards after carefully assessing this incident determined that this was a racing incident and could hold no individual responsible and therefore took no further action. c) GREEN DIAMOND (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) TINA LOVELACE fatigued. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
