THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the 1000m DAWN TILL DUSK (T Godden) brushed the inside running rail. b) At the 300m TIRPITZ (C F Dicken) was switched to the outside of BACCHUS (R A Venniker) to continue its run. c) Leaving the 200m UZWANO (C Zackey) which hung in from the 500m, was momentarily inconvenienced when racing in restricted room between BURNING MAN (S Moodley) and BACCHUS (R A Venniker). d) Apprentice D Pillay (FORWARD MOTION) accidentally dropped his crop at the 200m. e) Approaching the finish BACCHUS (R A Venniker) was tightened and steadied when racing in restricted room between FORWARD MOTION (*D Pillay) which rolled out and TIRPITZ (C F Dicken) which hung in and rolled in. f) DAWN TILL DUSK (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Whitehead acting on behalf of Trainer J S Snaith was advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey S Moodley (BURNING MAN) weighed out at 52.9kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight.
