Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROYAL KINGDOM (S Khumalo) was nervous in the stalls, taken out, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded. Thereafter, ROYAL KINGDOM (S Khumalo) was slow into stride. b) CRUZADOR (C Zackey) was nervous in the stalls. c) KING VISERYS (C Maujean) was slow into stride. d) CASINO ACE (*N Nastili) jumped inwards. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 testing were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (16h20) b) Permission was granted for STROOPSOET (C Habib) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) CASINO ACE (*N Nastili), which jumped inwards, made contact with ROYAL KINGDOM (S Khumalo) shortly after the start. d) Jockey C Habib reported that STROOPSOET did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Assistant Trainer FJ Jacobs was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. e) KING VISERYS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JVA Strydom was advised. (LM) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) W Agrella (BROOKSIDER) rode +0.5kg (56.1kgs) RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER a) Nil THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) STROOPSOET - examined post-race.
