THE STARTER REPORTED: a) QUINN'S TIME (*S Bungane) fly-jumped leaving the stalls. b) ANGEL OF MY HEART (*K J Lihaba) and LA MADDALENA (*J Botes) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) LA MADDALENA (*J Botes) and QUINN'S TIME (*S Bungane) over-raced in the early stages. b) At the 300m IRON WILL (*B Plaatjies) and PONGOLA (*D D Louw) were carried out by CANYOUDOTHEHULA (*M Mbuto) which rolled out and was immediately corrected. c) PONGOLA (*D D Louw) hung in from the 200m. d) In view of the performance of ANGEL OF MY HEART (*K J Lihaba) (12.80 lengths, 14/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) ULTRA QUICK (*D Pillay), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
