THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DINERO (C Ndlovu) was stubborn loading and thereafter slow into stride. b) BLIND FAITH (M K Katjedi) was stubborn loading. c) BOMBER BAY (C Zackey) stood awkwardly in the stalls. d) MONOCLE (R Fourie) and DARLING GIRL (*N Nastili) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Permission was granted for GLOBAL DRUMBEAT (C Habib) and BLIND FAITH (M K Katjedi) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. b) Shortly after the start, RED ORCHID RISING (C Maujean) jumped awkwardly making contact with the right-side front gate. c) Shortly after the start, DINERO (X Ndlovu) was steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of GLOBAL DRUMBEAT (C Habib), which jumped outwards sharply leaving the stalls. d) QUICK CROWN (*G Dookhit) hung in from the 300m and thereafter was carried outwards by GLOBAL DRUMBEAT (C Habib), which hung out from the 150m. e) DINERO (C Ndlovu) was steadied momentarily off the heels of BLIND FAITH (M K Katjedi), which hung in and shifted in at approximately the 150m. f) BOMBER BAY (C Zackey) shifted out away from the crop at the 150m and was corrected shortly before the finish line. g) Jockey C Habib (GLOBAL DRUMBEAT) appeared before the Board and was advised to react timeously when his mount shifts ground from the crop, in future. h) In view of the performance of BLIND FAITH (M K Katjedi), (distance 7,30 lengths, betting 10/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. i) Jockey C Maujean reported that RED ORCHID RISING made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.
