Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JUST ONE KISS (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls and thereafter jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) PANTHERA UNCIA (M van Rensburg) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. c) STRING OF LIGHTS (L Mxothwa) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride. d) PITON DE NEIGE (M K Katjedi) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded (14H52). b) JUST ONE KISS (R Fourie) hung out from the 400m and was corrected at the 150m. c) FULL OF MAGIC (*N Nastili) hung in from the 300m. d) Jockey W Agrella (STRING OF LIGHTS) which raced wide around the turn and into the straight, was not persevered with from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) During the running of the race, at approximately the 600m Jockey W Agrella was injured when a clot hit him on the eye and shattered his goggles which resulted in Jockey Agrella not being able to fully assist STRING OF LIGHTS. Jockey W Agrella was attended to by the course paramedics and transported to the medical centre for further examination, this precluded him from weighing in. The Board, acting in terms of Rule 66.2, deemed his weight to be correct. Jockey Agrella was stood down for the remainder of the race meeting, Rule 25.12 applies. f) JET SET RUN (X Ndlovu), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer E Kaknis advised (LM). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) STRING OF LIGHTS was ridden by Jockey W Agrella (declared 25 August 2025 at 15H10). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) STRING OF LIGHTS coughing post race. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
