THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BLUE PALACE (X Ndlovu) was unruly and fractious in the stalls, losing three lengths. Due to its loading grade and where this horse was loaded today, the Starter decided to take no further action. b) POTENT CAPTAIN (*G Dookhit) was nervous in the stalls. c) CHIEF RUNNER (S Naidoo) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded (16H10). b) Permission was granted for HER ROYALTY (*N Nastili) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) CHIEF RUNNER (S Naidoo) and JAMBO SANA (C Habib) over-raced in the early and middle stages. d) BLUE PALACE (X Ndlovu) hung in from the 400m and made slight contact with MOVE TO PROVE (M K Katjedi) shortly before the finish line. e) COASTAL PATH (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
