THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STORM BURST (M K Katjedi) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) CAPTAIN FRANK (C Murray) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) Shortly after the start, KING BLUETOOTH (P Mxoli) and SASSY LASSIE (J Penny) came together and bumped. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, CARNARVON (C Zackey), NEW LIFE (C Habib) and UNDERDOG (*K J Lihaba) suffered varying degrees of interference when awkwardly placed between CAPTAIN FRANK (C Murray), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls, and STORM BURST (M K Katjedi), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) At approximately the 200m, UNDERDOG (*K J Lihaba), which shifted in away from the crop, was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of CAPTAIN FRANK (C Murray). c) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with CARNARVON in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) KING BLUETOOTH (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C I Jonker advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) SASSY LASSIE raced without blinkers and ear muffs (declared 25 August 2025 at 07H59).
