THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BELLA BOOP BOOP (C Maujean) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 200m, SMART STAR (C Habib), which hung in from the 500m, was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of EMPRESS WU (S Khumalo). b) Shortly before the finish line, EMPRESS WU (S Khumalo), which had come to the end of its run, was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of CONCORDIA (S Moodley), which hung in in the concluding stages. c) Jockey J Penny reported that CYBER SPIRIT did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) CONCORDIA (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F Bronkhorst advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) BELLA BOOP BOOP raced with a tongue tie on (declared 25 August 2025 at 09H06). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) CYBER SPIRIT lame right front.
