THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WORLD ORDER (R Danielson) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) MYSTIC VISION (P Mxoli) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) REDLIGHTGREENLIGHT (C Habib) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ITSNOWORNEVER (*G Samo-Burthia) commenced to give ground to the field from the 200m. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) Shortly before the finish line, SEVENTH FLEET (S Khumalo) was eased when awkwardly placed between WORLD ORDER (R Danielson) and REDLIGHTGREENLIGHT (C Habib), which shifted out sharply after changing legs. An Objection was lodged by Trainer D N Stenger on behalf of SEVENTH FLEET (S Khumalo), placed third, against REDLIGHTGREENLIGHT (C Habib), placed first, on the grounds of interference and intimidation in the closing stages. The Objection Board, after giving due consideration to the evidence put forward by the connections, the distance of 2,10 lengths between the two horses involved and the proximity of the incident to the finish, determined that SEVENTH FLEET (S Khumalo) would not have finished ahead of REDLIGHTGREENLIGHT (C Habib) had this incident not occurred, overruled the Objection and refunded the deposit. c) REDLIGHTGREENLIGHT (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P F Matchett advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) ITSNOWORNEVER is a gelding (Gelded, 1 September 2024). Incorrectly carded. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) ITSNOWORNEVER not striding out right hind and left front. b) BLUE CRYSTAL abnormal respiratory noise. SCRATCHED: a) FORCE PUBLIQUE heat right front (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies). b) MAGWEGWE lame left front (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies). DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
