THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FIRE FORCE (C Habib) lost 1 length. b) INVICTUS JET (*M Mbuto) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start NORSE WARRIOR (M Thackeray), REIGN ON IMPACT (S Moodley), FINE WINE (C Murray) and AUGRABIES (S Hlengwa) were bumped in by WONDERFUL TONIGHT (C F Dicken) which jumped inwards leaving the starting stalls. b) Leaving the 1600m REIGN ON IMPACT (S Moodley) was brushed by NORSE WARRIOR (M Thackeray) which rolled out. c) KING OF VICTORY (C Zackey) shifted out away from the crop at the 300m and commenced to hang out from the 250m. d) LIMELIGHT LEGEND (J Jacobs), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee D Rivalland acting on behalf of Trainer A J Rivalland was advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) LIMELIGHT LEGEND raced equipped with blinkers (advised 27.08.2025/13h47). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) REIGN ON IMPACT is a gelding : Gelded on 17.06.2025. (Notification to be investigated). b) Jockey C Habib (FIRE FORCE) weighed out at 55.8kg, 1kg over the carded weight. Jockey Habib's flight was significantly delayed which precluded him from making use of the sweat box. Permission was granted in consultation with Trainer P M Gadsby with regard to the overweight.
