THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROYAL OBSESSION (W Shumba) was slow away losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) When questioned regarding the improved performance of ALBAR WARNING, Trainer B Stidolph explained to the Board that she had removed the blinkers for today's race which enabled the gelding to settle and close its race off. The Board noted Ms Stidolph's explanation and has advised her to race ALBAR WARNING without blinkers in future. The Board has adjourned to view ALBAR WARNINGS previous runs. b) ALBAR WARNING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Stidolph advised (AJ) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) ROYAL OBSESSION (W Shumba) raced with steel shoes on.. b) WALKER BAY (K Matsunyane) raced with steel shoes on. c) WINDSOR LANE (M Josi) raced with earmuffs on and with compression mask on.
