Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) EREBUS (M van Rensburg) was restless and reared in the stalls. This filly was removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. b) ERIK'S GIRL (*G Samo-Burthia) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) ARTIFACT (S Khumalo), COMIC ARTIST (C Habib) and SUPER MISS (M K Katjedi) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, ZAHRA DOMINIA (P Mxoli) and SUPER MISS (M K Katjedi) were bumped in by ERIK'S GIRL (*G Samo-Burthia), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) SASSY LASSIE (S Moodley) was directed outwards at the 800m and raced in isolation, parallel to the outside running rail, throughout. c) An inquiry will be opened to establish why Apprentice G Samo-Burthia was dislodged from ERIK'S GIRL at approximately the 300m. Apprentice G Samo-Burthia was attended to by the course paramedics and escorted to the medical centre for further assessment. d) ZAHRA DOMINIA (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer T Zackey advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) COMIC ARTIST was ridden by Jockey C Habib (declared 30 August 2025 at 09H10). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) SUPER MISS raced equipped with alumites in front, unshod behind and a compression mask (declared 28 August 2025 at 12H33). b) SUPER MISS raced with club colours (all black). Stipes permission. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) EREBUS abnormal respiratory noise. b) ERIK'S GIRL speedy cut left hind.
