THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SPARKLING JUBILEE (C Zackey), LA MADDALENA (N Patel), GREENHOUSE (M Yeni) and PROM QUEEN (S Moodley) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Approaching the 300m Jockey R A Venniker's (BEAUTIFUL RANIA) reins became briefly entangled, which resulted in this filly rolling in and carrying PROM QUEEN (S Moodley) in marginally. b) Apprentice M Mbuto (GORGEOUS GIRL) accidentally dropped his crop at the 100m. c) In view of the performances of QONDANEKUKHANYENI (S Veale) (4.00 lengths, 33/1 in the betting) and SPRING KISS (C Habib) (3.95 lengths, 10/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) SPARKLING JUBILEE (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
