Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	DIAMOND JIM (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls, reared, was taken out, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay
b)	HOKUSAI (W Agrella) was nervous, reared in the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride.
c)	AMERICAN PITBULL (C Little) jumped awkwardly. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (12h29)
b)	The starting stalls were re-positioned on the outside of the track to accommodate the Jockey's concerns regarding the patches on the track. All horses in this race were ridden on the outside of the track, parallel to where the starting stalls were positioned.
c)	AMERICAN PITBULL (C Little) took a number of awkward strides shortly after the start. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
AMERICAN PITBULL (C Little) returned with a unilateral epistaxis (RHS) due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr M Bawden)
Jockey C Little (AMERICAN PITBULL) appeared before the Board and was reminded that in terms of Rule 70.1.2 he is obligated to report anything that might affect the performance of his mount.
d)	POP CHART (C Zackey) was hanging in from the 400m.
e)	NORDIC SPY (S Naidoo) shifted outwards away from the crop at approximately the 250m, was corrected and shifted out again shortly before the finish line.
f)	Jockey W Agrella reported that HOKUSAI choked up in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
g)	POP CHART, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer was advised. (LM)
