THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FIRST KISS (L Mxothwa) and MALIBU BLITZ (D Ashby) were slow into stride. b) BLUFFON (C Orffer) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 450m FONTE (G Behr) was steadied and directed inwards when tightened for galloping room between WHATASTAR (G Wright), which shifted in slightly and BLUFFTON (C Orffer), which raced green and shifted out. b) In the concluding stages DELAROCHE (C Zackey) was momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on the outside of PANJANDRUM (R Fourie), which shifted out shortly before the finish. c) MARKETA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
