Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ALADO'S PRIDE (G Dookhit) was re-saddled at the start.
b)	BRIGHAM (M Yeni) jumped slow, losing one length.
c)	AMAZING COLOURS (MK Katjedi) was slow into stride.
d)	ONE GIANT LEAP (R Fourie) jumped awkwardly and made contact with the left-side front gate of the starting stalls.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h10)
b)	AMAZING COLOURS (MK Katjedi) was buffeted between ROTOTO (C Little), which shifted inwards and BEER WITH THE BOYS (S Naidoo), which shifted outwards shortly after the start.
c)	ONE GIANT LEAP (R Fourie) over raced and was allowed to race prominently, approximately ten lengths ahead of the field, and compounded at the 200m.
	When questioned regarding the manner in which he rode ONE GIANT LEAP, Jockey R Fourie told the Board that this was the first time this gelding had raced in blinkers, it had pulled hard in the early stages and he could not restrain it. He has advised Trainer Oosthuizen not to equip this gelding with blinkers on this surface in future engagements. His explanation was noted. 
d)	CATCH THE TUNE (C Habib) was hanging in from the 400m.
e) 	ROTOTO (C Little) was carried outwards slightly by ALADO'S PRIDE (*G Dookhit), which shifted outwards at approximately the 1300m. Apprentice G Dookhit appeared before the Board and was advised to take stronger corrective measures to keep his mounts on a straight course in future engagements.
f)	Jockey C Little reported that ROTOTO was blowing post-race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 
g)	Jockey M Yeni reported that BRIGHAM felt uncomfortable in its action. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 
	Trainer K Mitchley was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
h)	ALADO'S PRIDE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. (LM)
